Conveyor Manufacturers Australia (CMA) was nominated in 2016 as a Semi-Finalist in the Mining Tech category in the Australian Technologies Competition for its Redline™ underground conveyor system, and Roll-Over Idler™.
The Redline™ system was recognised for its ability to provide an innovative, game-changing technology solution for the installation, extension, retraction and maintenance of underground conveyors, all while the conveyor is still in operation.
Utilising this system, mine sites experience no down time during these processes. Indeed, as most manual handling involved in conveyor management is removed by the Redline™ and Roll-Over Idler™ systems, the risk of component damage and fire is also reduced.
Additionally, the Roll-Over Idler™ as a complimentary solution, was recognised for the safety and productivity benefits it offered to industries beyond underground mining – surface conveyors, ports, agriculture, utilities and power generation. This simple, yet effective solution means that idlers can now be replaced in-situ while the conveyor is still operating. This directly buys back lost operating time.
